Knock ‘em Dead 2009: The Ultimate Job Search Guide (Knock ‘em Dead)

Lots of great information for making the successful journey through interviews and landing the perfect job.
Rating: 5 / 5
This book offers a relatively comprehensive and aggressive approach to job seeking. Mr. Yate would suggest his other two books as well, Resumes, and Cover Letters.
You always seem to think that you could be doing more in the job search, and this book gives you plenty of ideas and exercises to prepare you for interviews.
The first book I used was Knock ‘em Dead 1994. The interview question preparation is pretty much the same. What is really helpful is the recent update on job seeking strategies, with up to date info on how to leverage the web and on line networks. That in itself was worth purchasing it.
This book will definitely help you.

This book was tremendous and I got a job with no problem after a few tweaks.

This series has really helped me project myself in a more professional manner in the business world past (job interviews, networking events, etc.) – I believe the advice in this book directly helped me land my current job, which I love. Knock ‘em Dead is great because it’s so well-organized and easy to read. I only wish it could be a human instead of just a book! I still wanted a professional, eyes-on critique of my resume, but I went to RiseSmart.com for that and, coupled with the advice in this book, I was good to go!

This book not only goes into details of how one should go about finding a job in today’s economy, but offers advice on how to stay positive during your job search. Suggestions on how to respond to interviewer’s questions, using the internet during your job search and tips on what to do if you don’t get the job offer make this guide not only informative but invaluable.
